An AI helper for your Shopify store that answers the emails you could answer in your sleep
If you run a small Shopify store, a big share of your week goes on the same few jobs: telling customers where their parcel is, and writing up new products. An AI helper (the industry calls it an agent) can do the first draft of both. It reads the customer's email, looks up the order in Shopify, and drafts a reply with the tracking link already in it. For a new drop, it drafts product descriptions from your spec sheet in your own tone. You read every draft before it goes anywhere, so nothing reaches a customer without you.

What we set up for you on Shopify
Order email drafts
The AI helper reads each new customer email, finds the order in Shopify, and drafts a reply with the order status and tracking link filled in. You check it and send it.
Product descriptions in your voice
Give it the spec sheet for a new drop and it drafts descriptions, care notes, and size guides in your house tone, ready for you to edit before they go live.
Clear limits on what it touches
The AI helper reads orders and drafts text. It doesn't refund, cancel, or change orders, so the money side of your store stays with you.
Your rules written down
We write down how you answer each kind of question, so the AI helper follows your way of doing it, and you can change the rules without starting over.
We keep it running
When Shopify or your inbox changes, we fix the AI helper. You don't need to learn how it works underneath.
Your evenings go on order emails and product copy
Most small Shopify stores get the same email over and over. A customer wants to know where their parcel is, so you open the store, find the order, copy the tracking link, and write a friendly reply. Each one takes a couple of minutes, but there are dozens of them, and they land after you’ve packed the day’s orders. Then a new drop comes along, and every piece needs a description, care notes, and a size guide before it can go live.
Why Shopify on its own doesn’t do the job
Shopify holds everything the answer needs: the order, the status, and the tracking number. But it doesn’t read your inbox, and it doesn’t know how you like to talk to customers. So the work of joining the two falls to you, one email at a time.
Shopify’s own AI writing help can draft product text inside the admin. That’s handy for one product. It doesn’t know your house tone unless you tell it each time, and it can’t take a 30-piece spec sheet and work through it the same way for every item. That’s the gap an AI helper fills, because it reads from both places and follows rules you’ve agreed once.
How we set it up on Shopify
We work with a three-person online skincare store where the founder spent most evenings on order emails. About half asked where a parcel was. We set up an AI helper that reads each new email in Gmail, looks up the order in Shopify, and drafts a reply with the tracking link already in it. The founder reads the draft, changes anything that needs it, and sends it.
Our first version sent the simple replies on its own. Then it answered a customer whose jar had arrived broken with a cheerful tracking link, so we switched that off. Now every reply waits for a person. The founder clears the order emails in about twenty minutes each morning instead of across the evening. Returns still go through by hand. You can read the full skincare store story.
We also work with Marlow & Thread, a two-person slow fashion label in Melbourne. Each new drop of 30 pieces needed product descriptions, care notes, and size guides. Their AI helper drafts all three from the maker’s spec sheet in the label’s own tone, and a drop now goes live in 2 days instead of 6. The fit notes still come from the founder trying on each piece, because no spec sheet tells you how a linen dress sits. Read the Marlow & Thread story.
For both, we started by mapping how you work (the industry calls it process mapping). That meant writing down how each kind of email gets answered and which jobs should never leave a person’s hands.
When Shopify is the right place to start, and when it isn’t
An AI helper on Shopify pays off when the same question arrives many times a week and the answer lives in your store. Order status, delivery times, and product details are good first jobs. It’s a poor fit for complaints, refunds, and anything that needs you to decide something about a customer. Those stay with you, and the AI helper hands them over untouched.
