What Stripe is
Stripe is an online payments service. It gives you a checkout page, payment links you can send in a message, invoices, and subscriptions that charge a client every month. The money lands in Stripe first and then pays out to your bank on a schedule.
It’s popular with coaches, course creators, studios, and online services because it’s quick to set up and handles recurring billing well. Where small teams struggle is the work after the payment, when Stripe’s records need to meet your accounts, your inbox, and your client list.
How a small team uses it with AI
The common jobs are small but they add up. A client’s card expires and their subscription payment fails. A client asks why they were charged on the 3rd. The bookkeeper asks why the payout doesn’t match the sales. Each one means logging into Stripe, finding the record, and writing something.
